Impact and Programs
Accomplishments
In 2017 VLN provided over 9,000 legal services to more than 7,800 people experiencing poverty, impacting more than 21,000 household members.
Reported outcomes included being able to pay for daily necessities, being in a better position to keep or find a job, being in a better position to keep or find housing, having improved housing conditions, being physically safer and having an improved quality of life.
Current Goals
Annual goals (as part of three-year strategic plan):
1. Increase number of legal services delivered to more people in need.
2. Increase the percentage of clients who have stabilized or improved life circumstances.
A focus of this year's plan is telephone and remote advice services.

Low-income and disadvantaged Minnesotans.
Geographic Area Served
Varies by the service provided. We primarily serve the residents of Hennepin County, but we also have targeted programs that serve residents across Minnesota.
