St. Cloud Municipal Band

Mission Statement

The St. Cloud Municipal Band is a fellowship of musicians sharing our tradition of performing great music.

Impact and Programs

Accomplishments Performed in the St Cloud Area at 3 nursing homes during the winter; joint concert with Cathedral High School; Spring concert at Paramount Theatre with guest jazz ensemble; Memorial Day Service at VA Medical Center; July 4th concert in Hester Park; 3 summer Barden Park concerts; Fall concert at Calvary Community Church; Holiday concert at Whitney Senior Center. Additional performance at Bandwidth 2017 community band festival at Landmark Center, St. Paul.
Current Goals Continue to provide quality wind ensemble/community band performances that are entertaining and at low or no cost to our audiences. Focus on development and implementation of a marketing strategy to increase our audience. Implement ticket charges for our large venue performances to become cost neutral for those concerts. Continue to explore permanent occupancy for the band and move towards sustainable funding.
Community or Constituency Served Primarily Central Minnesota. We have played concerts in St. Cloud, Waite Park; Milaca; Richmond and Sauk Centre, but past surveys showed that our patrons came from as far north as Duluth, as far south as Florida and Texas as well as California. We have also entertained patrons from Norway, China, and South Asia--and these are only from people who filled out surveys.
Geographic Area Served Mostly Central Minnesota, but according to past surveys, we have had audience members from China, Europe, India, Canada, and many states in the US.
