Mission Statement

Second Harvest Northern Lakes Food Bank's mission is to feed the hungry of NE Minnesota and NW Wisconsin.

Impact and Programs

Accomplishments In 2018, we rescued and distributed a record 6.1 million pounds of food, the equivalent of 4.9 million meals, to over 44,000 NE Minnesota and NW Wisconsin residents in need. Our food provides stability, allowing families, children and seniors to focus on their employment, education and health.
Current Goals Our 2019 Strategic Goals include rescuing and distributing a record 6.4 million pounds of food, the equivalent of 5.1 million meals, for NE Minnesota and NW Wisconsin residents in need and feeding a record 3,875 people through our direct service programs.
Community or Constituency Served Second Harvest Northern Lakes Food Bank feeds families, children and seniors in need (all ages, income eligible or in crisis).
Geographic Area Served Second Harvest Northern Lakes Food Bank serves NE Minnesota (St. Louis, Carlton, Lake and Cook counties) and NW Wisconsin (Douglas, Bayfield, Ashland and Iron counties).
