Accomplishments
In 2022, Regions Hospital Foundation raised $11,521,268 with the support of 1,078 donors to improve health and well-being in partnership with our members, patients and community. Of the $11,521,268 raised, $4,386,660 went to our capital campaign, Regions Responds First, which supports Mental Health and the Emergency Center. It is the largest capital campaign in Regions Hospital Foundation history with a goal of $18.75M and we were able to exceed our goal in 2022 raising a total of $18,914,480 over the last 3 years. Other Regions Hospital and HealthPartners programs that received financial support from the foundation include but are not limited to the HealthPartners Cancer Center at Regions Hospital, HealthPartners Neuroscience Center, Regions Hospital Birth Center, Burn Center, hardship assistance to individuals, cardiology, rehabilitation, Simulation Center, HealthPartners Center for Memory and Aging, HealthPartners Institute, HealthPartners Hospice and Palliative Care and community health programs such as Reach Out and Read and Little Moments Count.
Current Goals
Regions Hospital Foundation has set a fundraising goal of $10,000,000 to support Regions Hospital and HealthPartners programs. Those programs include Neurosciences, Cancer Care, ER/Trauma, Patient Care, Mental Health and Education with a special focus on two projects, our Clinical Simulation Center and the revised next phase of our Emergency Department expansion. We will also be focusing on our new unrestricted fund, Mission in Action. The pandemic illustrated our need to respond quickly, and now as the need for our services continues to grow and change, we need to continually transform as well. To expand on one initiative, I would like to share a little about our Clinical Simulation Center project...HealthPartners is a leading local provider of medical simulation training, allowing healthcare professionals from across our system and beyond to practice their important work in lifelike situations. Hospital and clinic staff, first responders and medical students rehearse their individual skills and teamwork using our highly realistic scenarios and hands-on equipment to improve medical outcomes and saves lives. Our medical simulation also allows physicians to study exciting new ways to care for patients. From 2017-2021, our simulation team reached 44,735 learners. The needs of our simulation center have outgrown the capabilities of its current space, located at Regions. We need to move and upgrade the facilities within the hospital to best serve our growing number of learners, offer the full breadth of training opportunities, and prepare for future technologies. Dollars raised in 2023 will make this possible.
