Mission Statement

The Mission of Minnesota Veterinary Medical Foundation is to provide scholarships and educational grants to benefit animal health and ensure the future of Veterinary Medicine.

Impact and Programs

Accomplishments Between May of 2023 and May of 2024, the Minnesota Veterinary Medical Foundation increased the DVM scholarship program by $18,000, alleviating the burden of debt for 4 additional DVM students at the U of M, including the first recipient of the MVMF DEI scholarship. Additionally, the board recognized that the need for financial relief for veterinary technician students thus increasing the amount each veterinary technician student receives from $1,500 in 2023 to $2,000 in 2024.
Current Goals To continue the funding of additional DVM Scholarships, provide financial relief for practicing veterinarians that seek additional certifications and education, and to continue to grow our technician scholarship program and funding for organizations that are impacting the health and welfare of animals across the state of Minnesota.
Community or Constituency Served The Veterinary Medical community which includes, DVM students at the University of Minnesota and South Dakota State University (2 + 2 program with the U of M), veterinary technician students, veterinarians, veterinary technicians, industry professionals, and those who have a passion for animal health, education, and welfare in Minnesota.
