Mission Statement

The mission of the Foundation is to preserve and improve State Fair buildings, the fairgrounds, and educational programs. We are committed to helping the State Fair continue to thrive as a leading cultural and educational organization.

Impact and Programs

Accomplishments During the year, the Minnesota State Fair Foundation granted over $1 million to the Minnesota State Fair in support of our mission to preserve and improve the buildings, fairgrounds, and educational programs of the Minnesota State Fair. These grants supported artistic programming, educational programming, accessibility projects, agricultural education programming, and capital improvements to fairgrounds buildings.
Current Goals Our goals for the current year include granting over $1 million to the State Fair again in support of programmatic and capital work on the fairgrounds.
Community or Constituency Served The Minnesota State Fair Foundation provides funding to make the experiences of Minnesota State Fair guests more enjoyable. In 2022, the fair welcomed 1.85 million guests.
Geographic Area Served Though a majority of Minnesota State Fair guests are from within the state of Minnesota, the fair welcomes people from around the globe.
