*Definition of Family: A family consists of people, whether living together or apart, related by blood, marriage, adoption, or the commitment to care for or about one another.

Accomplishments
In 2018, the agency’s 56 employees, 220 volunteers, and 14 independent contractors served over 16,000 people across four core program areas: Caregiving & Aging, Counseling & Therapy (including school-based and Center for Grief & Loss), Financial Solutions, and Youth Development.
Current Goals
FamilyMeans strengthens communities by helping individuals and families through challenges in all life stages. Our programming consists of the following main areas: Caregiving & Aging, Counseling & Therapy (including school-based and Center for Grief & Loss), Employee Assistance, Financial Solutions, and Youth Development in Cimarron and Landfall. Our aim is to be adaptable, accessible, and affordable, especially in our programming, and to provide meaningful engagement for our volunteers.
Community or Constituency Served
FamilyMeans has 5 different service areas providing services to people working through a variety of life's challenges.
Counseling & Therapy supports the mental health of individuals, couples, and families of any age at our outpatient clinics, including specialty clinic for grief and loss. As well as, students ages 5-18 in 23 schools (in 5 districts) in MN and Western WI.
Caregiving & Aging supports caregivers as they provide care for a child or aging adult with a disability, frailty, or cognitive decline.
Financial Solutions supports those trying to work their way out of debt and/or manage finances.
Youth Development supports youth in the under-served communities of Landfall and Cimarron, ages 5-18.
Employee Assistance Program provides contracted support for employees.

Minnesota Locations: Cimarron, Landfall, Rochester, St. Paul, and Stillwater
Wisconsin Locations: Eau Claire and Hudson
Many services are also provided over the phone and web. Making our service area even more broad.
