Impact and Programs
Accomplishments
In 2016, we served 228 neighbors in need; 188 vehicles were repaired and 40 vehicles were donated. There are times when clients will come to us with a vehicle that is beyond repair. We’ve introduced a fast-track process for those clients to get them into a donated vehicle as soon as possible. Instead of filling out a whole new application, they just need to be working at least 32 hours a week and provide a few extra documents to qualify. That way they can get on the waiting list for a donated vehicle right away and are less likely to lose their job because of lack of reliable transportation. Our goals for car repairs and car donations for 2016 were slightly offset because of this new process.
