ArtReach St. Croix

Mission Statement

ArtReach St. Croix connects communities and the arts in the scenic St. Croix River Valley.

Impact and Programs

Accomplishments In 2018, ArtReach St. Croix hosted eight group exhibitions (including the annual Members Show) as well as the Pop-up Holiday Gift Gallery. The region's fall art fairs and festivals was cross-promoted through the Take Me to the River partnership. NEA Big Read in the St. Croix Valley encouraged Valley residents to read and to participate in part of a month of multi-disciplinary programs around a common book. The Mobile Art Gallery hit the road. Cooperative marketing including the online event calendar connected people to the arts (and other) events in the St. Croix Valley. ArtReach also took on a special year-long Cultural Tourism project resulting in the creation of "Insider Itineraries" to give visitors a sense of place through the arts of the St. Croix Valley.
Current Goals ArtReach St. Croix's organizational goals include: highlighting the work of artists who live and work in the St. Croix Valley, sharing the confluence of arts and nature that give the region its unique identity, and connecting visitors to a sense of place and residents to a sense of home through the arts. In 2016, we added a Mobile Art Gallery to our outreach programs. The Mobile Art Gallery continues to "take the show on the road" to area parks during the summer and to the fall art fairs. Other programs and services continue including: StCroixSplash.org, a regional online event calendar; Take Me to the River, a cross-promotional partnership connecting audiences to the fall art fairs; The Big Read, a literary arts program infused with the visual and performing arts connecting readers to a common book; Exhibition Galleries, a rotating series of visual art shows; and the Pop-up Holiday Gallery Shop. In 2018, ArtReach conducted a year-long Cultural Tourism Marketing initiative which continues to influence our marketing and audience development strategies. In early 2019, The Gift Gallery opened to complement the exhibition galleries giving visitors the opportunity to purchase the work of local artists year-round.
Community or Constituency Served ArtReach's work is designed to include artists and arts organizations as well as tourists, community members and local and regional business communities.
Geographic Area Served ArtReach serves the lower St. Croix River Valley from Taylors Falls to Hastings in Minnesota and from St. Croix Falls to Prescott in Wisconsin.
