Impact and Programs
Accomplishments
In 2024, ArtReach St. Croix hosted 8 rotating group shows in our gallery including the Annual Members Show. We also presented a Holiday Gift Gallery generating over $14,000 of income to participating artists. Author Luis Alberto Urrea and artist Dougie Padilla were the center of Valley Reads, the month long multidisciplinary program around a common book. The Mobile Art Gallery featured 6-word memoirs and visual art pieces by incarcerated artists from Stillwater Prison. The cross-promotion project, Take Me to the River connected audiences to the region's fall art fairs and festivals. ArtReach's shared online event calendar StCroixSplash.org celebrated its 12th year of fulfilling our organizational mission of connecting communities to the arts in the scenic St. Croix Valley.
Current Goals
In 2025, ArtReach St. Croix will continue to cross-promote the St. Croix Valley's arts and artists through our online event calendar StCroixSplash.org and Take Me to the River, centered around the region's fall art fairs and festivals. We will present rotating group exhibitions including our Annual Members Show. In all, the gallery will shift 8 times plus host the Holiday Gift Gallery. We will welcome thousands of visitors to the gallery and to the Mobile Art Gallery. Two exhibits will fill the Mobile Art Gallery in 2025 including Poets of Place featuring 5 St. Croix Valley poets and The Water Where We Live featuring a group exhibition developed in response to the creatures of the Brown's Creek Watershed. All of ArtReach St. Croix's programs and services remain centered on the artists and arts ecosystem in the St. Croix Valley. We build partnerships and programs to help the arts thrive in this special place.
Community or Constituency Served
ArtReach St. Croix works from Taylors and St. Croix Falls to Hastings and Prescott which is a 60-mile stretch of the lower St. Croix River. We work with artists, arts organizations and audiences in this geography.
Geographic Area Served
ArtReach prioritizes the lower St. Croix Valley artists and audiences including rivertowns in Washington and Chisago counties in Minnesota and Pierce, St. Croix, and Polk counties in Wisconsin.
