Impact and Programs

In 2014 VLN provided over 9,000 legal services to more than 7,500 low-income clients impacting more than 19,000 household members. Reported outcomes included being able to pay for daily necessities, being in a better position to keep or find a job, being in a better position to keep or find housing, having improved housing conditions, being physically safer and having an improved quality of life. In addition, the legal services provided protected money and/or benefits for the clients in an amount in excess of $10 million.
Current Goals
Continue work on these annual goals (as part of three year strategic plan) 1. Deliver high quality legal services more effectively and to more people in need. 2. Increase our financial and volunteer resources to address the critical legal needs of our community. 3. Strengthen our organizational capacity to meet the challenges ahead.
