Impact and Programs
In the last year, our United Way has provided a total of $236,000 in grants to 27 local programs, provided 13,680 free books to local young children through our Imagination Library program, provided 58,623 missing meals through the Packing for the Weekend programs, facilitated 2 poverty simulations for a total of 79 attendees, engaged 305 volunteers, raised a total of $530,758 with 1,908 donors, maintained 48 active agencies on our volunteer management system GET CONNECTED, and saved local community members a total of $6,514 in prescription drug costs.
1-Ensuring all children in our service area are fully prepared for kindergarten. 2-Ensuring all youth in our service area are fully prepared for graduation. 3- Promoting access to health care (ensuring the underserved residing in our service area have access to affordable, quality health care including oral health care). 4-Promoting healthy lifestyles (supporting actions & strategies one engages in to achieve & maintain optimal long term health). 5-Promoting Mental Health (supporting a state of well being in which an individual realizes their own abilities, can cope with normal stresses of life & can work productively). 6-Hungry people have access to healthy food. 7-Youth and families achieve stable housing. 8-People are able to access safe and affordable transportation. 9-People are safe from violence and exploitation. 9-People are able to achieve financial stability. 10-People are able to access resources to achieve basic needs.
