Impact and Programs
SVABW served 728 victims of domestic violence in 2015 while also reaching out and educating 3,500 adults and youth about the issue of domestic violence.
In FY2016 SVABW implemented a three-year strategic plan with directions to engage the broader community, secure new and additional resources, and serve victims throughout Scott and Carver counties. These strategic directions are:
I. Strategic Direction: Engaging Community
Goal: We are the organization recognized for our dedication to end domestic violence.
II. Strategic Direction: Securing Community
Goal: We are the organization with sufficient, sustainable and well-managed resources.
III. Strategic Direction: Serving Community
Goal: We are the organization that represents and serves the diversity of the community.
At the core of our organization are our programs and how we serve victims. Our yearly plan of work is driven by our program goals; 1) Increase the number of victims served; 2) Open doors in the Latina community; 3) Build a stronger volunteer program; 4) Ensure our programs meet the needs of victims.
