Mission Statement

Through philanthropy, the Rice Health Foundation supports the vitality and quality of care of Rice Memorial Hospital.

Impact and Programs

Accomplishments 2017 Program Service Accomplishments (Grants & Disbursements) totaled $1,189,461. $471,950 raised from previous Rehabilitation Center capital campaign was transferred to Rice. Grants totaling $238,264 were made from unrestricted and designated endowments for programs, education, and equipment; the largest two grants were: $96,000 for ceiling lifts at the long-term care facility and $50,000 for Rehabilitation Center pediatric waiting area. Rice Hospice, an end of life care program serving west central Minnesota, received $229,358 from designated funds. The balance consists of numerous releases from designated purpose funds to Hospital departments for programs, services, education, and equipment purchases. Fundraising for Emergency Services renovation project to improve safety raised $346,478: the Annual Gala event raised $245,173 (net of expenses) and $101,305 was raised through special appeals. $229,029 was raised through grants and gifts for Rice Regional Dental Clinic to fund operations through 2018. The annual Employee Campaign raised $101,610 in gifts and pledges to support the Rice Regional Dental Clinic campaign and nine other funds and endowments.
Current Goals Total grants & disbursements of $1,250,000. Award $250,000 in grants from unrestricted and designated endowments to Rice Memorial Hospital for programs, education, and equipment. The goal for the Annual Gala event is $300,000 for Cancer Care Services. Raise $102,000 from the Employee Campaign.
