To provide affordable support services for family caregivers across the lifespan.

Impact and Programs

Accomplishments Caregivers reported being better able to cope (Training and Education, 96% and Caregiver Counseling, 98%) . Caregivers reported an improved ability to provide care (Training and Education, 88% and Caregiver Counseling, 86%. Caregivers reported being able to provide care longer (Training and Education, 86%) and Caregiver Counseling, 78%). Caregivers reported begin less stressed (Training and Education 96% and Caregiver Counseling, 91%). Caregivers reported a positive impact on their physical and emotional health (Training and Education, 92% and Caregiver Counseling, 87%). Additionally,, 100% of those surveyed said they would recommend Range Respite's services.
Current Goals To reduce caregiver stress. To extend the amount of time care can be provided at home. To improve caregiver coping ability, self-advocacy, and health/wellness through educational programs.
Community or Constituency Served Family caregivers (relative, close friend, neighbor, partner) who provide care or assistance at home to a loved-one of any age with a disability or chronic disease. We serve all of northern St. Louis County, Minnesota.
Geographic Area Served An approximate 35 mile radius around the city of Virginia: from Hibbing to the west through Hoyt Lake in the east, Orr to the north and Meadowlands to the south.
