CHARITY RESPONSE TO REVIEW: Aeon, formerly Central Community Housing Trust (CCHT), is an award-winning nonprofit provider of quality multi-family apartment homes in Minnesota. Founded in 1986, Aeon is the steward of 29 properties with 1,485 units, serving more than 2,500 people. Aeon successfully incorporates how quality design impacts people and how human connections change and improve lives. Aeon meets a wide range of community needs including affordable housing, historic preservation, revitalization of blighted properties, acquisition of affordable properties threatened with demolition or loss to the market place, and purchase of problem properties that are transformed into positive community assets. Aeon supports individuals and families at a variety of income levels and provides a continuum of affordability for a wide range of households, including homeless youth and adults, special-needs households, individuals, seniors, and families.
