Impact and Programs

Program Service Accomplishments (Grants & Disbursements) totaled $1,193,615. -$427,961 raised through capital campaign for long term care facility was transferred to Rice. -Rice Hospice, an end of life care program serving west central Minnesota, received $232,051 in releases from designated funds. -$328,421 raised through the 2014 Annual Gala for expansion of the Behavioral Health Department was transferred to Rice. -Grants totaling $211,000 were made from unrestricted and designated endowments for programs, education, and equipment; the largest single grant for ceiling lifts at the long-term care facility was $96,000. -The balance consists of numerous releases from designated purpose funds and endowments to Hospital departments for programs, services, education and equipment purchases. Fund Raising Successes - Launched a $1.5M capital campaign for Rice Rehabilitation Center. Received a $500,000 matching gift by successfully raising $500,000 over four months. -Closed the Rice Care Center three-year capital campaign, raising $1,961,624 of the $2M goal. -The Holiday Festival special event exceeded the $200,000 goal, raising $300,000 (net of expenses) for Rice Rehabilitation Center to improve Pediatric Therapy Services.
Current Goals
Reach the $1.5M capital campaign goal for Rice Rehabilitation Center. The goal for the Employee Campaign is $100,000, with giving focused on the Rice Rehabilitation Center campaign. The goal for the Holiday Festival special event is $300,000 for Rice Regional Dental Clinic. Award $250,000 in grants from unrestricted and designated endowments to Rice Memorial Hospital for programs, education, and equipment.
