Northern Dental Access Center

Mission Statement

The Mission of Northern Dental Access Center is to provide access to dental care for people in need.

Impact and Programs

Accomplishments $8 Million dollars in dental services provided in 2022 with 26,610 annual patient encounters. 26% of patients are children and youth under age 21; 15% are senior citizens. Named National Rural Health Association's 2022 Outstanding Rural Health Organization.
Current Goals 2023 marks the first full year of returning to pre-COVID staff and patient traffic. Our goals are to further re-engage patients whose lives and care were disrupted during the prior years of chaos. In addition, we continue to accommodate the changing nature of the workplace for our employees who have faced childcare and school disruptions, along with extraordinary increases in the cost of living. Another goal has been to undergo a complete Strategic Planning for 2024-2026 and approve those strategies by the end of the year. Ultimately, our current work of stabilizing the organization this year sets the stage for anticipated growth in the coming two years.
Community or Constituency Served Low-income children and families who reside in rural, northwest Minnesota.
Geographic Area Served 17 + counties in rural northwest Minnesota, including Beltrami, Clearwater, Mahnomen, Polk, Red Lake, Pennington, Kittson, Roseau, Norman, Marshall, Lake of the Woods, Koochiching, Itasca, Cass and Hubbard.
