CHARITY RESPONSE TO REVIEW:
MOFAS is proud to be acknowledged for our commitment to rigorous stewardship and high standards for accountability and transparency as we work to accomplish our mission and realize our vision. Over the past eleven years, since MOFAS was founded, we have become the hub of hope for individuals living with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD) and their families and caregivers. MOFAS provides crucial information to families with children with FASD on how to get a diagnosis, where to get services and support and how to navigate the sometimes challenging health and human services systems.
We provide education to professionals who work with individuals with FASD. In 2009 we launched a re-designed website which showcases a “Virtual Family Center” where families can come together and learn, share and provide support to each other. MOFAS works as diligently on educating childbearing aged women, their families, and the community that FASD is 100% preventable---simply do not drink during pregnancy. MOFAS is passionately committed to the day when we live in a world in which women do not drink alcohol during pregnancy and people living with FASD are identified, supported and valued.
