    CHARITY RESPONSE TO REVIEW:
The Land Stewardship Project (LSP) advances practical solutions to achieving stewardship and building wide-spread public support for an agricultural system in which family farmers and small towns could thrive, and soil, water and wildlife are increasingly protected. LSP believes that public disclosure, responsible governance, sound financial management, ethical fundraising and strategic initiatives designed to make a difference on the land in people’s lives demonstrate our commitment to excellence. The Board and staff are pleased that the Council has found us to be in compliance with the Accountability Standards and we pledge to continually strive to meet those standards. LSP’s work has led to cleaner water, more wildlife habitat, more people starting stewardship-based farming, democratic participation in communities, and policies that support greater stewardship and access to healthful, regionally-produced food. Members include farmers, rural people and urban citizens in our region and nationally and more than 2600 households have joined in support.
